In professional use, a boat’s practicality is often measured at the very moment it reaches the shore. How quickly can you get from the boat to land? How effortlessly can equipment be brought on deck? How safely can you move when the situation requires fast action?
In monohull boat models, the sides are often high and accessing the deck requires climbing over them. Loading equipment and tools on board requires cranes or additional manpower. In our view, boats should not have unnecessary obstacles that make work more difficult or slow it down.
For this reason, we have made the obstacle-free bow ramp a standard feature in every ALUCAT® boat model.
Easy and fast landing ashore
The bow ramp enables direct access from shore to deck without stairs or climbing over the sides. With the ramp, landing on any shoreline—whether rocky, sandy, or a concrete slipway—is easy and fast.
Safety starts with accessibility
For us at ALUCAT, safety and accessibility are the most important factors in every boat we design. Climbing over the sides in wet or slippery conditions, especially when the boat is moving in waves, is a safety risk we want our customers to avoid. Every ALUCAT® boat features a flat, self-draining deck and a hull that remains stable even in rough conditions. Combined with an accessible bow ramp, these ensure safe movement both on board and around the vessel.
The aluminum anti-slip surface prevents slipping even on a wet deck, and the open, threshold-free deck area allows free movement without obstacles.
Direct loading onto the deck
An ATV, stretcher, diving equipment, or other heavy gear can be driven or carried directly onto the deck via the ramp without the need for a crane or separate lifting equipment. This speeds up work and reduces physical strain.
In our larger models (W25, W30, W35), the ramp is wide enough for loading vehicles. Even in smaller models, it provides a significantly easier and safer loading option compared to lifting equipment over the sides or railings.
Boating belongs to everyone
The bow ramp makes boarding the boat easier also for people with limited mobility. Instead of stairs, ladders, or high sides, the ramp provides a gentle, even pathway directly onto the deck. A person using a wheelchair, walker, or other assistive device can board the boat independently or with minimal assistance, without the need for lifting or climbing. The flat and open deck area continues this same principle: once on board, movement on deck is barrier-free and safe. This opens up access to the water also for those for whom it has been practically impossible with traditional boats.
