Customization
One of the key cornerstones of ALUCAT® boats is customizability. Every boat we manufacture is a unique entity, designed according to the customer’s needs, requirements and intended use. For us, a boat is not a finished product, but a carefully tailored solution built specifically for your operation.
Customization options extend widely from deck layout design to cabin solutions and equipment. ALUCAT® aluminum boats can be designed for professional and governmental use as well as for private customers, for example as fishing boats, commuter boats or leisure boats. The intended use always guides the design, resulting in a boat that performs efficiently in the exact environment for which it is built.
Safety, cost efficiency, and long service life are core values guiding the design of every boat. Safety is reflected in our vessels through high quality standards, in-house testing processes, and accessibility. All our boats are equipped with a bow ramp, enabling safe and easy access on board as well as efficient cargo handling. Safety can be further enhanced with features such as boarding ladders and handrails on the sides and stern of the boat.
The excellent planing performance of our boats improves cost efficiency by allowing the use of lower engine power. This reduces initial engine investment and significantly lowers fuel consumption. Customization also includes engine selection and hybrid options across all our boat models, such as combinations of internal combustion engines and electric motors.
Long service life is an essential part of ALUCAT® boats. The boats can be repaired, modified and upgraded even after delivery, and every component of the boat can be re‑customized or replaced when necessary. If the intended use of your boat changes over time or additional modifications are required, we will work with you to design suitable solutions for your boat even at a later stage.
A Custom-Built Boat Starts with Design
ALUCAT® has its own in-house design department responsible for the boat design process from start to finish. We design the layout drawings and overall concept of each boat according to the customer’s needs, requirements and intended use.
As the design work is carried out at our own factory, customers have the opportunity to be involved in the design process from the very early stages. The design progresses in close collaboration between the customer and our designers to ensure that the final result truly meets the intended use—whether for professional, governmental, or leisure purposes.
Our design department can prepare multiple concept alternatives for your boat and assist in comparing different solutions when needed. Thanks to our experience, we can also recommend equipment options, layout solutions, and technical features that support the intended use of the boat and enhance safety, usability, and cost efficiency.
If you are interested in ALUCAT® boats, we can prepare a preliminary draft of the boat you need without any purchase commitment. The draft helps to visualize the dimensions, layout, and equipment possibilities at an early stage.
ALUCAT® Boat Models – What Are the Differences Between Size Categories?
ALUCAT® offers several boat models for different applications. Our smallest model is the W6 and the largest the W35, and all boat sizes are fully customizable. The models differ in their basic configuration primarily in terms of size and load capacity: equipment, space solutions and intended use are always defined individually.
Our smallest boat model, the W6, is approximately 5 meters long and 2 meters wide. The length of our largest model is about 13 meters and the width about 3.5 meters. The model name indicates the deck surface area in square meters: for example, in the W14 model, the deck size is 14 m². Our other boat models fall in between these sizes, and you can find more detailed technical specifications on our Models page.
The boat size should primarily be selected based on its intended use. Smaller models, such as the W6 and W10, are well suited for leisure applications like cottage and fishing use. Mid-range models (W14–W18) are popular in tasks requiring speed and agility, such as rescue and governmental operations. Larger models are designed for heavy-duty work, transport, and demanding operating environments where space, load capacity, and stability are essential.
All boat models serve as a starting point for individual design, and the final vessel is always shaped according to the customer’s needs, equipment choices, and intended use.
With or without a cabin? Choose the solution that suits your use.
ALUCAT® boats are available both with and without a cabin. All our cabin solutions are customizable according to customer needs, from technical systems and additional equipment to interior layouts. Cabin models are available in several sizes and configurations for different operational requirements.
The cabin is always designed as an integral part of the overall boat concept, not as a separate add‑on. The cabin solution has a direct impact on the boat’s usability, safety and comfort, especially in demanding and long‑duration operations. Therefore, the cabin type and its equipment are always selected primarily based on the intended use, crew requirements and operating environment.
Semi-Enclosed Cabin Solutions
Our semi-enclosed cabin solutions, such as DC and CC models, are particularly well suited for customers who require fast and unobstructed movement on deck. The more open structure enables smooth workflow and mobility on board, making these solutions ideal for applications such as fishing, transport, and workboat operations.
Semi-enclosed cabins provide excellent visibility to the surroundings, supporting safe navigation and efficient operations. If needed, weather protection can be enhanced with solutions such as a canvas enclosure installed at the rear of a DC cabin, improving comfort in cooler and wetter conditions and extending the boating season.

CABIN & CAB Cabins
The ALUCAT® CABIN & CAB series consist of fully enclosed cabins that enable year‑round and around‑the‑clock operation of the boats. CABIN cabins provide effective weather protection and stable working conditions even in demanding weather. Heating or air conditioning can be added to the cabin depending on the operating environment and conditions. CAB cabins are designed for professional use, and each CAB cabin is mounted on rubber dampers, which contribute to vibration and noise insulation. In addition, every CAB cabin is walk‑through and allows access around the entire cabin. CABIN cabins, on the other hand, are fully freely designed and customizable for any application.
CABIN cabins are specifically designed for long operating hours and extended work shifts. Effective thermal and acoustic insulation, a sheltered working environment and well‑considered space solutions enhance crew comfort and endurance. Each ALUCAT® CABIN cabin is lined on the inside with fabric that serves as both thermal and sound insulation.
A fully enclosed cabin also enhances safety by providing a protected working environment and excellent all-round visibility. ALUCAT CABIN solutions can be configured with versatile interior layouts, including work and dining areas, toilet facilities, storage spaces, or sleeping accommodations. Thanks to these features, CABIN solutions are particularly well suited for professional and governmental use, where weather protection, safety, and around-the-clock operation are key requirements.
Customization options for ALUCAT CABIN solutions are extensive, and each configuration is designed as an integral part of the boat according to the customer’s operational requirements.

Equipment – Designed for the Intended Use
What makes ALUCAT® boats truly unique is the wide range of equipment options. As a customer, you decide how your boat will be equipped. Standard equipment and available optional equipment are presented on the Models page in connection with the technical specifications of each boat model.
Equipment is always selected based on the boat’s intended use. Properly designed equipment improves safety, usability, and operational efficiency, while making onboard work smoother and more ergonomic.
In rescue and governmental operations, boats are often equipped with various radar, navigation, and communication systems, powerful work lighting, and audible warning systems. These applications also emphasize efficient storage solutions, enclosed cabins, and functional working spaces. In addition, our boats can be equipped with an autopilot and joystick control.
In service and workboats, equipment typically includes personnel and cargo cranes, load securing systems, and ample storage space for tools and equipment. Storage solutions can be integrated both on deck and within the cabin, when applicable, and are always designed as part of the overall boat concept.
Equipment planning is carried out in close cooperation between the customer and our design department to ensure that every solution supports the boat’s actual operational requirements.
