Cranes

Several ALUCAT® boats can be equipped with different crane solutions according to the customer’s needs and intended use. A wide range of cargo cranes and personnel lifting solutions is available, and each configuration is always designed individually. The customer can define the most suitable crane type for the vessel, while our design department supports the selection process to ensure the best possible solution in terms of technical performance, functionality and safety.

The ALUCAT® catamaran hull design provides a significant advantage in crane operations: the vessel remains exceptionally stable even when loaded and operating at sea. A stable working platform improves safety, working conditions and operational efficiency, especially when using personnel lifting systems.

On larger vessel models, such as the W25 and W35, it is possible to install two cranes simultaneously, increasing operational flexibility and enabling a wider range of tasks to be carried out with a single vessel.

Cargo cranes

Several cargo crane options are available for our vessels, and commonly used brands include Ferrari, Amco Veba and Maxlift. Cargo cranes can be equipped with either remote control or manual operation, allowing the crane setup to be tailored to the vessel’s intended use. Different control options enable precise and safe handling when moving cargo. Cargo handling is also possible in conditions where a quay or dock is not available, such as in archipelago environments.

Thanks to the cranes, loading cargo onto the vessel is easy and efficient. The ALUCAT® catamaran hull ensures that the vessel remains stable even when handling heavy loads. The cranes can be used to transfer items such as tools, general supplies, timber, spare parts or containers onto the vessel.

Cargo cranes are always designed as an integral part of the vessel. The placement of the crane and its mounting points is carefully planned to support the vessel’s stability while keeping the deck area as unobstructed as possible for daily operations.

Personnel lifting cranes

In addition to cargo cranes, our vessels can also be equipped with personnel lifting systems. On our larger vessel models, it is possible to install both cargo and personnel cranes when required. Remote control functionality makes single‑operator work easier and safer. Commonly used hydraulic crane brands for personnel lifting include Ferrari, Maxlift and Amco Veba. However, the crane solution is always selected according to the vessel’s intended use.

The catamaran hull keeps the vessel stable when using a personnel lifting system. Reduced vessel movement, even in waves, improves safety during operations. Personnel lifting systems are particularly well suited for situations where controlled and stable transfer of personnel is required, for example between the vessel and a quay, another vessel, or an object located in the water.

In ALUCAT® vessels, the stable catamaran design provides a reliable working platform for both cargo handling and personnel lifting operations, improving safety and controllability in daily use.

Each crane solution is always selected and designed according to the intended use, vessel size, and the customer’s requirements and preferences. This ensures that the crane supports the vessel’s operation in the best possible way and forms a well‑integrated part of the overall configuration.

We are happy to assist you in selecting the most suitable crane for your vessel.
