ALUCAT® cabin models: Accessible and customizable cabins for professional use
ALUCAT® designs and manufactures versatile cabin solutions that enable efficient operations on the water year-round. Whether fully enclosed and heated cabins or semi-open weather shelters, our catamaran hull ensures stability and safety in all conditions.
The names of our cabin models are based on abbreviations that describe the cabin size and intended use. Below is a list of the model names and their meanings.
CAB and CABIN series optimized for professionals
CHOOSING THE RIGHT CABIN
When choosing a cabin, it is important to consider the intended use – is fast mobility a priority, do you need weather protection, or is the cabin intended for year‑round operation? For our smaller boat models, semi‑open and more compact cabin sizes are available, while our largest models can be equipped with cabins for up to 12 people. If you require ample space for working, break or rest areas, or facilities such as a toilet, a larger cabin size (for example CABIN6 and above) is recommended. For applications such as fishing or light work duties, semi‑open cabin models with weather protection are an excellent option. Our design department supports you in selecting the most suitable cabin model and can prepare drawings of your desired cabin when needed. Each of our cabin models is fully customizable to your needs.
The cabins of the CAB series are isolated from the hull with rubber mounts, minimizing noise and vibration—critical factors for occupational safety and ergonomics during long operations. All ALUCAT® cabin models are designed with accessibility as a priority. Wide door openings and threshold-free access allow heavy equipment to be moved effortlessly into the shelter of the cabin. Aluminium as a material is maintenance-free and well suited to demanding coastal operating conditions.
OPEN AND SEMI‑OPEN CONSOLES
Our range includes several open and semi‑open console models suitable for different applications. Open models can also be customized according to the intended use. Open steering console solutions are particularly popular in our small and medium‑sized boat series (W6–W14). The listings below provide more detailed information about the consoles, along with example images from various operating environments.
ALUCAT® CC (Central Console) is a single-operator control console designed to provide unobstructed 360-degree freedom of movement on deck. The console is typically positioned at the center of the vessel to optimize weight distribution, but thanks to its modular design, it can also be installed forward or aft according to customer requirements.
Key benefit: The compact size maximizes payload capacity and ensures easy movement on deck.
Applications: Professional fishing, research operations, and light maintenance tasks requiring unobstructed working space from side to side.
ALUCAT® DC (Double Console) provides an ergonomic and protected helm for two operators. This side-by-side console layout is an excellent choice when the mission requires close cooperation between the driver and an observer or navigator.
Customization: Can be equipped with a high windshield and weather‑resistant storage solutions.
Applications: Utility boats, patrol duties, and authority operations requiring wind protection and sufficient space for navigation equipment.
ALUCAT® SC (Side Console) is a single‑operator control console mounted along the side of the vessel. This solution keeps the entire longitudinal centerline of the boat clear, providing an unobstructed passageway or space for transporting large cargo.
Applications: Archipelago service transport, diving operations, and cargo transport.
Special feature: Can be installed on both sides, leaving a wide and safe central passageway leading to the bow ramp.
ALUCAT® DC Work is a space‑efficient console solution designed to meet professional requirements. An innovative Foldable version is also available, allowing the console to be folded down. This is a critical feature when the vessel needs to be transported in low-clearance spaces or when exceptional deck space is temporarily required.
Applications: Industrial maintenance tasks, fairway maintenance, and multi-purpose workboats.
Structure: Extremely durable aluminium hull designed to withstand continuous heavy-duty use and impacts.
ALUCAT® DC TOP combines the visibility of an open boat with the protection of a cabin boat. The fixed roof protects the crew from rain and direct sunlight without compromising quick egress or side visibility.
Applications: Security services, port operations, and professional fishing charters.
Benefits: An excellent mounting platform for radars, searchlights, and communication antennas.
CABIN & CAB SERIES
Our CABIN and CAB cabin ranges include fully enclosed cabin models. The cabins provide effective protection from the elements and enable year‑round operation of the boats. Each cabin is fully customizable for its intended use. The number following each cabin model indicates how many people the cabin comfortably accommodates (for example, CABIN2 – the cabin accommodates two people). Larger cabin models can also include dedicated workspaces, rest and break areas, or facilities such as a toilet.
The CAB cabin series is designed especially for heavy professional use, and the cabins are sound‑insulated and structurally isolated from the hull using rubber mounts.
ALUCAT® CABIN2 is a compact two‑person aluminium cabin with lockable sliding doors. It is designed specifically for high mobility and effective weather protection.
Customization: The interior is fully customizable for professional use (e.g. storage solutions, additional seating).
Dimensions: Width: 1700 mm, Length: 1330 mm, Height: 1700 mm
ALUCAT® CABIN4 offers an optimal balance of space and efficiency. The four‑person cabin with lockable sliding doors is an excellent choice for teams requiring protection and a calm working environment during long operating days. The interior is designed with accessibility as a priority, allowing smooth movement even when wearing full gear.
Benefits: Excellent ergonomics and visibility in all directions. Fully customizable interior.
Overall dimensions: Width: 2500 mm, Length: 1800 mm, Height: 1900 mm
Applications: Authority operations, archipelago service runs, and water taxis.
ALUCAT® CABIN6 is designed for larger work teams where space and functionality are critical. This cabin model enables clearly defined work, rest, or break areas and can be equipped, for example, with a toilet compartment. The catamaran hull ensures excellent stability, even when multiple people move inside the cabin simultaneously.
Applications: Rescue authorities, fairway maintenance, and archipelago construction projects.
Features: Year‑round operational readiness (air conditioning/heating) with customizable seating configurations.
ALUCAT®’s largest cabin models offer exceptional space for up to 12 people. These cabins function as mobile offices or operational bases in demanding missions. Accessibility by design and extensive customization options (such as galley equipment and sleeping berths) make these vessels fully fledged work platforms at sea.
Structure: A durable yet lightweight aluminium structure ensures low fuel consumption and a long service life.
Special feature: Capability to integrate comprehensive communication and surveillance systems.
The CAB Professional series is designed to meet the demands of the most demanding professionals. The cabins are sound‑ and structure‑isolated from the hull using special rubber mounts, significantly reducing vibration and noise levels in the helm. This greatly improves occupational safety and reduces crew fatigue during long missions.
Target group: Defence forces, police, border guard authorities, and oil spill response operations.
Technology: Floating cabin structure with professional‑grade hull isolation.
