ALUCAT® W30 is our newest boat model, designed for demanding professional and rescue operations in offshore environments. Built for Kymenlaakso Rescue Department, the W30 is the largest model in our range to date, combining a 30 m² deck area, high payload capacity, and enhanced stability in challenging conditions. What Makes the W30 Different from Our Other Workboats?
W30 represents a new size class in the ALUCAT® range. This nearly 10-metre catamaran offers approximately 30 m² of deck space and a payload capacity of up to 3,000 kg, enabling the efficient transport of personnel, equipment, and even vehicles. The wider hull improves stability, while the redesigned hull structure has been developed specifically for demanding offshore conditions. The W30's B-category workboat certification allows operation in environments where safety and performance are required even in heavier seas.
The W30 introduces a new hull design featuring steeper pontoons and a higher tunnel clearance than our previous models.
Designed for More Demanding Conditions
The W30 was developed with the goal of creating a catamaran that maintains stable handling even in challenging sea conditions. The W30 is wider than other ALUCAT® models, improving stability both at rest and underway. In addition to the wider hull, its seakeeping performance has been enhanced through a steeper pontoon V-angle and a higher tunnel clearance. This new pontoon design helps maintain stability more effectively in rough seas while providing a smoother ride.
30 m² of Workspace and Cargo Capacity
We also designed the W30 with larger working and cargo areas in mind. The approximately 30 m² deck space provides ample capacity for a wide range of cabin configurations and logistical solutions.
The large, unobstructed deck area and payload capacity of approximately 3,000 kg enable the transport of equipment, tools, and vehicles, such as ATVs, in a single trip. The wide 1.95-metre bow ramp makes loading and unloading fast and safe, while significantly simplifying the transfer of vehicles and heavy cargo.
The spacious deck provides flexibility for a wide range of applications. The vessel can be equipped for rescue operations, maintenance and service work, fairway maintenance, or logistics tasks.
