For this reason, ALUCAT® uses a unique W naming system based on usable deck area measured in square meters.
W Stands for Workspace
When you choose, for example, the ALUCAT® W14 model, you immediately know you are getting 14 square meters of stable and fully usable deck space. Our range scales from the agile W6 up to the massive W35, offering an impressive 35 square meters of floating workspace. By comparison, in traditional V‑hulled boats, a significant portion of the beam is lost due to hull geometry, whereas ALUCAT’s sides rise straight up from the waterline. This technical solution maximizes deck area and enables the transport of heavy equipment—such as ATVs, or in the largest models even cars—without compromising stability.
Accessibility and Safety at the Core
The deck of ALUCAT® boats is completely flat and free of thresholds. This makes the vessel fully accessible—an essential factor for emergency services and logistics operations, for example. Safety is further enhanced by a durable aluminum anti-slip surface, ensuring secure footing in wet conditions. All our models feature a self-draining deck as standard, improving safety and making post-operation cleaning easier. Various holders, rails, and attachment points can be mounted on the vertical sides, providing secure handholds when boarding or moving on deck, as well as safe fastening points for equipment.
Full Customization: Moonpool and Special Solutions
We do not sell just a boat, but a tailored solution. The flat deck enables equipment layouts that cannot be implemented as efficiently on monohull vessels. For special requirements—such as diving operations or research use—we can install a moonpool in the center of the deck. This solution allows work to be carried out directly beneath the vessel, protected from waves and currents.
