At ALUCAT, accessibility is a core part of how we create every boat. We believe that accessibility is not just a convenience, as it means faster operations, safer movement and better working environment for everyone on board. This is why ALUCAT has created accessible boats since the beginning.
Bow ramp for easy access
Every ALUCAT boat comes with a front-opening bow ramp. This ramp allows people, equipment, or wheeled cargo to move on and off the boat safely and quickly. You can lower the ramp directly to a dock, beach, or even into the water, ensuring smooth boarding in all conditions.
The bow ramp is especially useful in rescue work and transport, where time and safety are critical. It also supports operations that require access in shallow or rocky areas, where traditional boarding is difficult.
Flat Deck with No Obstacles
The decks of ALUCAT boats are open and flat. There are no thresholds or steps to slow movement. This makes it easier to move around with, for example, gear or transport equipment.
The deck allows flexible use of space. There’s room to install storage, seating, cabins or technical equipment without blocking paths. Open movement on board improves both safety and workflow.
Accessible boats for everyone
We believe that boating is not just about equipment, it’s also about inclusion. ALUCAT builds boats that people with reduced mobility can safely board, move around, and use. Moving stretchers, tools or heavy load is faster and more secure on a boat engineered with space and simplicity in mind.
To improve onboard safety and mobility, we offer a range of accessibility-enhancing features. These include handrails along key areas, non-slip deck coatings that provide extra grip in wet conditions, and secure fastening points for assistive devices or seating. We can also add options such as foldable boarding steps, adjustable seating, and wider passageways to meet user needs.
Built for practical, everyday use
ALUCAT and its customers work together closely to build all the aluminum boats. We plan accessibility features from the beginning, based on customer needs. All boats are designed to support safe, practical and independent movement on board.
